Bringing the World to the Emerald Triangle

Bringing the World to the Emerald Triangle

Recently, we brought together 30 cannabis industry professionals from 10 countries for a tour through the Emerald Triangle in Northern California.

Our goal was simple: get people out of the conference rooms, away from the trade shows, and onto the farms. Give them an opportunity to meet the people, walk the land, hear the stories, and experience firsthand what makes this region and the farms we work with so special.

We hear the words “legacy” and “culture” thrown around so often in this industry that sometimes they start to lose their meaning. But regardless of how much this industry grows, evolves, or becomes more corporate, we can’t forget the people who built it long before a license was ever required.

The farmers who took the risks, preserved the genetics, and helped shape the culture that so many of us benefit from today.

You can talk about legacy genetics and cannabis culture all day long, but there’s something different about standing on the land where so much of that history was made.

A music video in the middle of harvest

While the tour was happening, we also managed to pull off a surprise with our good friends Mendo Dope. We brought everyone together to shoot a music video right in the middle of it all.

That video, “Sungrown,” is now out.

It was such a cool experience bringing together people from all over the world to be part of something that represents the culture and community we’re working to preserve.

Thank you to everyone who made it happen

A huge thank you to all of our farm partners for opening your doors, sharing your stories, and welcoming everyone onto your land. None of this would have been possible without you.

Special thanks to Lance Lambert and the entire Grove Bags team for helping bring this experience together.

And to all of our sponsors who helped make it possible: Moose Labs, Dr. Dabber, Alpine Hemp Company, Valenveras, Mills Nutrients & Substrates, and Piecemaker.

A big thank you to Fat Nugs Magazine, Dustin Hoxworth, Daniel Crawford, Jessica Reilly-Chevalier, and the team they brought out, along with everyone else who traveled from near and far to be part of this experience.

And of course, much love to Mendo Dope for helping us capture a little piece of this experience through music.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in making this happen.

At Tangled Roots, we’re proud of what we’re building, but even more proud of the people and farms we get to represent.

Legacy isn’t something you can manufacture. It’s something you carry forward.
